On Wednesday, the United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in his meeting with Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has discussed a wide range of issues with main focus on the growing strategic bilateral ties. Developments in Kashmir were also figured in the talks, said the US State Department. 

On Monday, Mr. Pompeo and Mr. Jaishankar have met at the Foggy Bottom headquarters of the US State Department. 

A readout of the bilateral meeting was issued after two days by the US State Department.

Both leaders have “discussed a range of issues, including the growing US-India strategic relationship, developments in Kashmir, and global issues of concern,” added the US State Department.

A readout of their bilateral meet continued that “they also discussed plans to advance our complementary visions of a free and open Indo-Pacific region following the successful Quadrilateral Consultations on the margins of the UN General Assembly last week.”
