Greeting each other on the festival of Diwali, the United States President Donald Trump said that the ‘festival of light’ is a ‘special’ opportunity to reflect the bond of friendship between the United States and India.

President Trump said that the First Lady Melania has joined him in sending their best wishes for a memorable and happy Diwali.

He further talks about the ‘extraordinary’ contributions of Indian-Americans in the development of the US.

In a special message for Diwali, yesterday President Trump tweets, “Diwali is a special opportunity to reflect on the bond of friendship between the United States and India.”

His message continues, “We recognize the extraordinary contributions of Indian-Americans to the strength and success of our nation.
