Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry and Opposition Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Mushahidullah Khan has abused each other in the Parliament, which turned a joint session into a battle field.
On Wednesday, the joint session was held by Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani over the proceedings alongside National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, head to intrude and directed to obliterate non-parliamentary words used by two lawmakers, reported sources.
Senator Khan and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader have resorted to name-calling after the latter interrupted the senior opposition lawmaker’s statement during the televised session.
Mr. Chaudhary became angry after he was referred to as “Dabbu” and criticized by the PML-N leader. Mr. Khan said, “Can someone switch him off… He’ll take some time in learning how to respect others.”
In reply, the Federal Minister tried to jump off the opponent, but lawmakers hold him back and calmed both of them down.
On Tuesday, the joint session was called to discuss the issue of Article 370 scrapping by the Indian Government, which offered “special status” to Jammu and Kashmir.
