On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephonic conversation during when it has focused on significant international and bilateral issues, reports diplomatic sources.

President Putin greets PM Modi with success in the forthcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections, informed Russian diplomatic sources.

They continued that “the leaders confirmed their mutual willingness to increase cooperation in fighting against international terrorism and solving other pressing world issues.”

The conversation mainly focused on current international and bilateral cooperation issue, added the source.

President Putin has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the Eastern Economic Forum in September 2019 in Vladivostok as a chief guest, said the source.

The leaders of both the countries further exchanged New Year greetings.
