Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg will pay a 3-day visit next week to India, during which she will hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a host of issues.
PM Solberg will arrive Indian on January 7, will deliver the inaugural address at the Raisina Dialogue and address the India-Norway Business Summit during her visit to India, said the Ministry of External Affairs in a statement.
She will further meet Indian President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will also meet PM Solberg.
The forthcoming visit of Norway Prime Minister will offer an opportunity to the two sides to review the progress in bilateral relations and discuss the ways to further expand the multifaceted partnership in areas of common interest, added the MEA.
It also said that “India and Norway enjoy close and multi-faceted ties. Economic and technical cooperation are important facets of our bilateral relationship. More than 100 Norwegian companies have invested in India in areas such as shipbuilding, petroleum-related services, hydropower, clean energy, and IT services.”
