On Monday, Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale held talks with Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Ryabkovon to discuss key strategic issues such as New Delhi’s NSG membership bid and BRICS cooperation.

During the discussion held in Moscow, the two nations had also discussed topical international issues of mutual interest, informed a statement of the Russian Embassy.

Cooperation within BRICS format, the existing issues of key multilateral export control regimes, including application to New Delhi for NSG (Nuclear Suppliers Group) membership, arms control issues, and other non-proliferation issues were also discussed in the meet, it added.
