On Thursday, diplomat Harsh Vardhan Shringla was appointed as the next Indian Ambassador to the United States.
1984-batch Indian Foreign Service diplomat Harsh Vardhan Shringla will succeed Navtej Sarna as the new Indian Ambassador.
Today in its statement, Ministry of External Affairs reports that “he is expected to take up the assignment shortly.”
Presently Mr. Shringla is serving as Indian High Commissioner to neighbouring Bangladesh.
His post was offered to a senior diplomat Riva Ganguly Das, who was appointed as presently Director General of Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
