Ahead of landing at New York Airport, Air India flight develops obstacle

A flight of the National Carrier, Air India took off from Delhi and was carrying 190 people on board, suffered a hydraulic leak before landing at JFK Airport in New York, said an airline source on Wednesday.

While the source continued that the flight had to make an emergency landing due to a problem with hydraulic fuel, a spokesman of Air India also claims that there was a hydraulic fuel ‘shortage’.

The spokesman continued, “However, there was no emergency landing of the plane.”

All 176 passengers and 14 crew members were on-board Air India flight AI-101, operated on October 10 for Delhi-New York route are safe, report the source of Air India.

He added, “Thankfully, the landing gear did not collapse.”
