On Wednesday, China said that the issue of blacklisting Pakistan-based terrorist Masood Azhar at the United Nations Panel is heading towards a settlement and asked the United States not to force through its own resolution over the issue.

Beijing has also dismissed the report that the United Kingdom, the United States, and France has asked China to lift its technical hold on Mr. Azhar by April 23, claims they will move a formal resolution for discussion, vote as well as the passage at the UN Security Council.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang said that “On the issue of the listing of Masood Azhar, China’s position remains unchanged. We are also having communication with relevant parties and the matter is moving towards the direction of the settlement.”
