Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a three-day visit to Gujarat during which he will unveil the ninth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit.
From January 18 to 20, the Vibrant Gujarat Summit will be held in Gandhinagar and the Prime Minister will also take part in a series of other programmes during his visit. PM Modi’s visit will also cover Silvassa, the capital city of neighboring Union Territory of Nagar Haveli and Dadra, reports the state government.
Upon his arrival, PM Modi would first unveil the “Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show”, which is an integral part of the biennial investor summit.
Later in the afternoon, the Prime Minister of India would inaugurate a newly constructed hospital in Ahmedabad, as per schedule.
Over 1500-bed hospital has been developed in the VS Hospital premises, operated by BJP-ruled Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
In the evening, PM Modi would unveil a shopping festival on the Sabarmati Riverfront and address a gathering at both the sites.
Early in the morning on January 18, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate three-day summit. In the afternoon, he has scheduled a one-to-one meeting with some of the heads of Gujarat, who would also attend the event.
Heads of five nations and more than 30000 national and international delegates, including CEOs of major companies from India and foreign are likely to attend the ninth edition of the summit, reports organizers.
Business tycoons from India are also expected to attend the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, include Uday Kotak, Mukesh Ambani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Adi Godrej, Gautam Adani, and Pankaj Patel.
Top executives and CEOs of global companies like DP World, BASF, Vanguard, Suzuki, and Maersk would also be present at the summit.
In the evening, PM Modi will participate in a “round table interaction” with the heads of global sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors, and pension funds, which will be followed by a dinner with VVIP guests.
On January 19, the Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Hazira industrial area near Gujarat’s Surat and Silvassa.
On Wednesday, the state government in a statement said, PM Modi “will visit Hazira in Surat on January 19 to mark the setting up of the Hazira Gun Factory.”
From Hazira, PM Modi will go to Silvassa to open and lay the foundation stone for several projects, reads the statement.
