The whole nation celebrated the festival of colour, on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also failed not to extended his greetings to the countrymen on the occasion. The festival  of colours, Holi is celebrated all over the country. The festival is also a celebration of togetherness.

In a tweet this morning, PM Narendra Modi wrote in Hindi: “Heartiest greetings to all of you as you celebrate this festival of colour, joy and happiness. I hope this festival brings a lot of happiness to people across the country”

Earlier, PM Modi had announced that he wouldn’t participate in any Holi events this year as health officials have advised against “mass gatherings to avoid coronavirus spread”.

“Experts across the world have advised to reduce mass gatherings to avoid the spread of COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. Hence, this year I have decided not to participate in any Holi Milan programme,” PM Modi had tweeted.

President Ram Nath Kovind greeted the nation on the occasion of Holi. He tweeted calling Holi “a celebration of spring and fraternity”.

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu extended his “warm greetings and good wishes to the people of country”.
