On Tuesday, India’s defence lab DRDO successfully test-fired the guided rocket system “Pinaka”, which was indigenously developed, in Rajasthan’s Pokhran desert, reports the officials.
This was recorded the third test, which was conducted by DRDP (Defence Research and Development Organisation) since Monday.
The Defence Ministry said that “all the three trials met mission objectives.”
It continued, “The consecutive successful missions of guided Pinaka proves the efficacy, reliability and high precision capabilities of the weapon system.”
The weapon system is installed with state-of-the-art guidance kit, which comprises of an advanced navigation and control system as well.
