According to government data, nearly 60 people have died all over in India in the last 24 hours due to coronavirus related illness taking the total death toll to 1,074. As per Union Health Ministry, the total number of cases has risen to 33,050 in the country.
As ordered by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, all the CMs have identified red, orange and green zones. Meghalaya government declared 10 of the state’s 11 districts as “green zones” and allowed inter-district movement there. Meghalaya has reported 12 coronavirus cases and one death. All the cases came from the state capital that falls under East Khasi Hills district.
The Centre has already declared, tourists, migrant labourers, students and pilgrims now can return to their home states. The centre issued the guidelines nearly 35 days after announcement of the country wide lockdown. The declaration comes after migrant labourers filed a petition in the Supreme Courting seeking permission to go home.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Wednesday, there have been no new coronavirus cases in 90 percent of the containment zones recently in the national capital. “There are 3,314 cases in Delhi currently including 206 from Tuesday. Thirty-two per cent of the patients, which means 1,000 patients have recovered so far,” he told reporters.
The government said on Tuesday, plasma therapy for coronavirus is still in an experimental stage and if not implemented properly it can be “life threatening for a patient”. However, the first plasma therapy was successful in Delhi.
