Heavy rainfall is forecasted over parts of East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha, as anticipated by IMD ( India Meteorological Department).

On Tuesday, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Marathwada are likely to receive heavy downpour, said the weather department. 

Parts of Jharkhand is expected to witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, added the IMD. 

Rough sea conditions (with a wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph) are expected to prevail over central, west, and connecting southwest Arabian Sea, and off Gujarat coast at Andaman & Nicobar Islands, north and central Bay of Bengal, and connecting coastal areas of Odisha, West Bengal, and Andhra Pradesh. 

Stormy weather is also expected to prevail over north coast of Maharashtra. 

The low-pressure tide over Odisha has started moving westward towards Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, which would result in an increase in rains over the extreme parts of Odisha, and heavy rains would be noticed, said Skymet. 

It has also advised fishermen not to venture into these areas.
