Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin his 2-days visit to Gujarat, during which he will inaugurate the Phase I of 6km-long Ahmedabad Metro service and launch the Pradhan Mantri Shram-Yogi Maandhan Yojana (PM-SYM).
Official sources also informed that the Prime Minister during his visit will also lay the foundation stone for Umiya Dham temple complex. On March 5, PM Modi will visit Annapurna Dham Trust in Gandhinagar’s Adalaj for the ground-breaking ceremony of Vishyarthi Bhavan and Shikshan Bhavan as well.
He will start his 2-days visit from Saurashtra region of Jamnagar, where the Prime Minister would dedicate the nation a 750-bed annex of the Guru Gobind Singh Hospital and introduce a PG hostel, added source.
The Prime Minister will also introduce SAUNI water scheme projects, which includes Machu-1 to Nyari Lift Irrigation Scheme and Und-1 to Ranjit Sagar Lift Irrigation Scheme.
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of Und-3 to Venu-2 Lift Irrigation Scheme and JodiyaDesalination Plant. In Jamnagar, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stones of Railway Projects, which include the conversation of Railway tracks to broad gauge as well as flag off the Bandra-Jamnagar Humsafar Express. From there he will reach Ahmedabad and participate in a grand event organized for the Umiya Dham temple complex.
As an initiative of the metro rail commissioning programme, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of 28.28 km-long Phase II of Ahmedabad Metro and will further travel some distance on the first phase stretch.
Following this, PM Modi will dedicate the nation with several hospitals built in Ahmedabad regions, including Cancer Hospital, Women Children & Super Specialty Hospital, Dental Hospital, and Eye Hospital.
The Prime Minister will visit the Annapurna Dham Trust in Adalaj tomorrow, where he will also lay the foundation stones of Vidhyarthi Bhavan and Shikshan Bhavan. Then he will visit Ahmednagar’s Vastral to launch PM-SYM, a contributory and voluntary pension scheme for workers in unarranged sectors with up to Rs. 15000 as monthly income.
PM Modi will also oversee the online transfer to benefit some beneficiaries and then will distribute the PM-SYM Pension Cards. The scheme was announced in February 2019 in the Union Budget, will consider each PM-SYM subscriber gets a minimum assurance pension of Rs. 3000 per month after the age of 60-years.
