The incident took place in Binodini Girls High School, which is located in Kolkata’s Dhakuria area. According to the source, the girl’s age was not disclosed but was confirmed that she is a minor. The incident triggered with a massive protest by parents, who demanded an answer from the school authority regarding the allegations.
Kolkata Police faced a tough time in controlling the anger of the parents, who tried to enter the school without permission. After the protest was strengthening, Kolkata Police had to wield baton to dissolve the protesters.
South East Division’s Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kalyan Mukherjee told the source that “We are trying to talk to the guardians and handle the situation.” However, Police confirmed that no complaint has yet been filed by the parents of the victim.
The school authorities are yet not available for comment over the incident.
