After the introduction of screen lock feature for iOS Beta user around three months ago, WhatsApp now rolls out akin feature called “Fingerprint Lock” for Android Beta users, reported source.

Enabling the feature, users can use fingerprint to open the app. But Android Beta users can still able to answer calls even when the app is locked, informed a fan website WABetaInfo, which tracks the updates of WhatsApp.

If you want to enable the latest update, you need to open WhatsApp “Settings”, then go to “Account” and then to “Privacy” where one can spot “Fingerprint Lock” option.

However, before taking advantage of the latest updates, one need to update to 2.19.221 Android Beta, added WABetaInfo.

The report continued, “Previous update might get the feature as well, but WhatsApp is always used to enable features in recent updates (that might contain bug fixes and improvements for the feature), so you should install the 2.19.221 update as above mentioned.”
