On Friday, the Union Cabinet gave approval to Rs. 10,000 crore Ganganyaan Project, under which a three-member crew will be sent to space for seven days, reports Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.

The Ganganyaan Project will cost Rs. 10,000 crores, declared Mr. Prasad at a press conference in New Delhi. During his Independence Day speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the Ganganyaan Project. PM Modi continued that the mission will be undertaken by 2022. India has already signed the agreement with France and Russia for the assistance in this ambitious project.
