It is no more a secret that the Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is a “big fan” of football. Time and again, Kohli has been spotted talking about football and how much he is in love with the game, besides cricket where he is an expert. He is also a big source of inspiration for many, not only within the country but across the globe for his passion and athleticism with which he plays the cricket. However, star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is many other sports personalities from whom the Indian cricket team Captain seeks inspiration. 

During an interview with FIFA.com, Virat Kohli has revealed Cristiano Ronaldo as his all-time favourite footballer. 

He was quoted saying, “For me, Cristiano is above everyone else. His commitment and work ethic is unmatched. He wants it that bad — you can see it every game (sic.).”

Kohli said that for him, Ronaldo has a better career than Argentina’s Lionel Messi. 

“In my opinion he (Ronaldo) has taken on more challenges and succeeded at all of them. He’s the most complete player. I have seen and his work ethic, as I mentioned, is unmatched. He inspires people. I don’t think many people do that. He’s also a leader and I love that. Absolutely love it. He has an amazing belief too,” added Kohli.

Virat Kohli was placed on the 7th position on ESPN’s World Fame 100, celebrated this year believed that Mbappe will take over as the best footballer in 2019. 

Kohli further said, “Mbappe stands out for me. His sprint in the 2018 World Cup against Argentina is hard to forget. He’s a beast and he will definitely be at the top of the pile for me. (He is) Absolutely a top-class player.”

At present, Virat Kohli is in the United States, where Indian will be playing two of its in total three T20Is against West Indies on August 3.
