Madison Keys, the US tennis star, has beaten up Pauline Parmentier of France in the semi-final to storm into the Fed Cup final match. The US will face the Czech Republic in the last tennis match of the tournament.

Keys, world rank 13, has defeat Parmentier, world rank 122, by 7-6 (7/4), 6-4 in the semi-final match, to provide a 3-1 win to the US in Aix-en-Provence.

The US was on the verge to enter into the final when Sloane Stephens brushed aside Kristina Mladenovic by 6-2, 6-0 during Sunday’s first rubber.

Mladenovic, world rank 20, had given a fighting chance to France by pulling it at 1-1 level on Saturday. She managed to end Coco Vandeweghe’s winning streak of 13 matches in the Fed Cup.

However, she couldn’t repeat the same heroics against the US champion, who earned points for America by defeating Pauline in the opening match by 7-6 (7/3), 7-5 on Saturday.

Petra Kvitová from the Czech Republic has managed to put the country into its 6th Fed Cup final in 8 years. She played the semi-final against Angelique Kerber in Stuttgart and defeated her.

Kvitova has won the Wimbledon championship two times in the past and she took just 58 minutes to get a win over Kerber by 6-2, 6-2. She also gave an unassailable 3-1 lead to the Czechs over Germany.

Petra admitted that she was quite nervous before playing the game against Julia Goerges from Germany. She was aware of Czech’s requirement of one point in the last two games and she tried her best and also praised Julia’s performance in the game.

Julia was quite disheartened to loose the match as Germany had missed out on a golden chance to make it to the finals, since their last appearance in year 2014.

Earlier, Czechs have been the title winner for 3 times in a row, but last year they were dethroned by the US in the finals.
