Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar shares a wonderful relationship with Dada Sourav Ganguly even outside the cricket field. Both the cricketers created a dream batting pair on the field. On Thursday, Sachin took his social media handle to share a throwback picture from his visit to Sourav Ganguly’s house during their playing days.
“Throwback to a fun evening spent at Dadi’s home. Relished the food & warm hospitality. Hope your mother is doing well, my best wishes to her,” the legendary batsman captioned the post.
The time was when Sachin visited Kolkata and he was warmly welcomed by Sourav and his family. The ‘god of cricket’ felt overwhelmed by the unconditional love, hearty conversation and mouth-watering dishes. Sachin and Sourav, both have retired from their professional cricket life but they still share a strong bonding personally.
Recently, in the ‘Dadagiri Unlimited Season 8’ host Sourav Ganguly welcomed his Men in Blue including VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Mohammad Kaif, Ravichandran Ashwin and Zahir Khan. In the show Dada spoke about Sachin and the memorable moments they have spent together. Earlier in 2018, Sachin graced the stage of ‘Dadagiri’ after receiving an invitation from the host and his dear friend Sourav.
BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar, together made 176 ODI partnerships throughout the course of their careers in which they scored 8227 runs at an average of 47.55. Sachin, in an interview revealed that everyone called Sourav Ganguly ‘Dada’ but he was the only one who called him ‘Dadi’. The two Indian great cricketers made a pair winning many matches which made them the best opening pair in ODIs from the mid-90s till the early 2000s.
