Samoa’s Prime Minister has taken a chance to get qualified for the archery competition at the grand age of 74-years in Pacific Games.
After succeeding at trails, Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi has established the National Archery Team, reports the government in a released statement on Tuesday.
PM Malielegaoi has fired an arrow competitively when the nation held the Games since 12-years, secured a silver medal for himself.
The Prime Minister worked hard to perform better this time and continue practicing with his teammates on archery range.
“We need to practice as often as possible to improve our shooting style. We know the techniques and we need to perfect our techniques,” added PM Malielegaoi, “It’s the same techniques that we also used in the last Games that were held here, and we believe strongly in the principle that practice makes perfect.”
Games will be held from July 7 till July 20, with athletes participating from countries across the Pacific Sea to compete in 27 sports.
