An interesting case has come forward amid the coronavirus outbreak in the country. A UP man completes his wedding with his fiance from Patna over video call. They say “qubool hain” by video call. On March 23, the Nikah of Sadiya Nasreen and Danish Raza was scheduled.

All the arrangements for the wedding were already made. Even a community hall for the wedding function was booked. Cards were distributed to guests inviting them.

But just before their big day, the government had a nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus. Flights and trains were suspended, travel  was banned all over the country making it difficult for the guests to get together for the wedding.

So the families decided to go ahead with the wedding through a video conference on Monday. Both the bride and groom sat in front of the computer screens in their homes in UP and Bihar while the qazi solemnised their wedding as their families congratulated each other.
