During the time when PM Modi is addressing austering and cutting down of expenses incurred by the government, Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik is being protected by 168 security personnel, two companies, and one platoon of PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary), reply to an RTI poster has revealed, claims the petition.
According to the RTI information offered to city-based activist Nutan Thakur by Zafar Abbas Naqvi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Security Officer Raj Bhawan, the PAC operates in Raj Bhawan’s Guard duty.
Among the security personnel, there is 63 Police Constables, 32 Head-Constables, 19 Inspectors, 10 Sub-Inspectors and 1 CSO.
Besides these, there are 3 men manning the x-ray machine, 6 women police personnel, 10 personnel for access control duty, and 14 Commandos as well. In a previous query made by the same petitioner, it was found that there 86 personnel, who are operating in Raj Bhawan. The list also includes- a legal advisor, a principal secretary, and a special secretary. There are 4 personal secretaries, 4 OSD (Officer on Special Duty), and other secretariat staffs as well.
In addition to these, there are 1 Steward, 1 Chef, 3 senior attendants, 6 drivers, and 19 attendants of Governor Ram Naik. There are also 5 assistant bearers, 16 bearers, 2 cooks, 3 mates, 1 washer-man, 1 tailor, and 5 ‘safai karmai’ recruited.
