The officials said on Tuesday that two passengers stabbed the traveling ticket examiner (TTE) onboard train at Kushinagar district in Uttar Pradesh.

On Monday evening the Delhi-bound Sapt Kranti Express was traveling towards Kaptanganj, which is around 40 km from Gorakhpur junction when the incident happened in the S10 coach of the train. The ticket examiner asked them to show their tickets when they stabbed him in the moving train making him seriously injured.

The ticket examiner named Anjani Kumar, 53 was taken to the hospital in Gorakhpur. The hospital authority has informed that his condition is critical.

Inspector Ajeet Kumar Singh, the Government Railway Police said that the family members of the TTE has not yet filed any complaint against the accused but they will do it soon.

No one has been arrested in the case but the police have formed two separate teams and have started an investigation to trace in order to arrest those two accused, officials informed.
