On Sunday, Union Minister Smriti Irani claims that Congress leaders visited Ayodhya but don’t offer prayers in the temple as they are ‘afraid’ of losing their vote bank.

While addressing an election rally in Kolar, Ms.Irani said that “they (Congress leaders) go to Ayodhya but do not bow to God because they fear they may lose their vote bank.”

She continued that “those who filed an affidavit in the court during the Congress regime stating Lord Ram does not exist are now chanting the name of Ram.

Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also made a similar comment at an election rally in UP’s Ghaziabad.

CM Adityanath had accused that Congress General Secretary and Uttar Pradesh (Eastern)in-charge Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for hurting the sentiments of Hindu as she did not thought of visiting Ram Lalla Shrine in Ayodhya.

“She (Priyanka) was asked why she did not visit the Ram Temple. She said that she didn’t want to visit the disputed site. She hurt Hindus,” added the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister.

Karnataka will vote for its 28-seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections in two rounds on April 18 and April 23, whereas, Uttar Pradesh will go to elections in seven rounds starting from April 11. And the final results will be declared on May 23.
