On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone of the ambitious “Kashi Vishwanath Mandir Vistarikaran-Saundarayakaran Yojana” (Kashi Vishwanath Temple Extension and Beautification Plan), which would roll out in four phases.
PM Modi kick-started the proposed project by placing five bricks with the name of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple inscribed on it in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Ram Naik, and UP’s BJP Chief Mahendra Nath Pandey.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi has landed in Varanasi, which is his parliamentary constituency in an Indian Air Force aircraft at the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport. The Prime Minister was received in Varanasi by CM Adityanath and Mr. Nasik.
Officials informed sources that the work will start soon on 40000 square meter corridor.
