Today, President Ram Nath Kovind and his wife Savita Kovind visited Allahabad to perform “Ganga Pujan” in the Sangam area during the ongoing Kumbh Mela in the state, said an official.

The President and his first lady have reached the Bamrauli Airport on a special plane around 9:30 am of the Indian Air Force. He was welcomed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Ram Naik, and several Cabinet Ministers said the officials.

President Kovind with his wife Mrs. Kovind participated in “Ganga Pujan” in the Sangam along with the Chief Minister, Governor, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Health Minister Sidharth Nath Singh among others.

The Sangam in Allahabad refers to the confluence of River Yamuna, Ganga, and Saraswati.
