Police Officers’ Association demands hard punishment for Killers of UP Policeman - TNBCLive

On Tuesday, Indian Police Service Association demands hard punishment of the people responsible for the killing of Uttar Pradesh Police Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh.

The IPS Association has recognized the risks that are everytime taken by the Policemen in the wake of disruptive gang mobilizations.

A Twitter post on the IPS Association’s official handle reads, “We condemn the lethal attack on UP police Inspector Subodh Singh, recognize his bravery and risks police officers are exposed to because of disruptive mob mobilizations.”

It added, “We demand the strongest action against perpetrators and instigators.”

The victim Police Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh along with few other Police officers were trying to control the gang when they were outnumbered and the situation within a time went out of control. The gang has first hit Inspector Singh with a stone and started chasing his SUV, corner it in the area and shoot him dead.

Inspector Singh was the investigating officer of the Akhlaq murder case.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced Rs. 40 lakh for the family of Mr. Singh, Rs, 10 lakh for the victim’s parents and a government job to any of his family members.

The victim’s sister reports that he had been murdered because he had probed the gang murdering of a Muslim man Mohammad Akhlaq in 2015 in Dadri.
