On Wednesday, a man in Patna was detained after he circulated a message on WhatsApp, threatening a blast at a rally of PM Modi on March 3 in Amethi, reports Police.
Self-proclaimed social workers and a resident of Bihar’s Patna, Udayan Rai was arrested on Tuesday, after he has threatened to carry out the bomb blast at Gandhi Maidan on coming Sunday, during the NDA’s Sankalp Rally.
Mr. Rai was accused of spreading rumors and threats, said a Police Official. Today, he was produced at a court and was sent for 14-days judicial custody.
Investigation officials are also inspecting through his social media and public profiles.
The centre-led NDA (National Democratic Alliance) government has organized the Sankalp Rally on March 3 in Patna as a showcase of strength before the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
Security forces have been tightened in Patna in an overview of the scheduled rally in Amethi. In October 2013, a series of bomb blasting at the similar venue during then Prime Ministerial of BJP candidate, Narendra Modi’s rally had killed over six innocent people.
