Over Uttar Pradesh land disputes, a man set on fire by neighbours - TNBCLive

A 35-years-old man was killed after his neighbours allegedly poured petrol on him and set on fire over a land dispute in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh, reports a Policeman on Wednesday.

According to UP Police, there arose a dispute over land in Pratapgarh’s Sarai Narayan Singh village. On Monday night, when the victim Rajesh Kori was fetching water from a hand pump, his neighbour started pouring petrol on him and set him fire.   

Rajesh’s brothers Anoop and Arjun also suffered similar burned injuries when they tried to save him. “The three were rushed to Allahabad for treatment, where Rajesh succumbed to his injuries,” reports Lalganj Circle Officer OP Dubey.

OP Dubey continued that four convicts have been arrested in the incident and a case has been lodged against them.
