Today, anti-terror squad of Uttar Pradesh was granted with a three-day transit remand of BrahMos Engineer Nishant Agarwal. Mr. Agarwal used to work as a senior system engineer with BrahMos Aerospace.
Conducting a joint operation by Military Intelligence and Uttar Pradesh ATS on Monday, Mr. Agarwal was arrested over espionage charges.
Early morning on Tuesday, Mr. Agarwal was produced before the Nagpur Sessions Court. The Session Court has granted three-day transit remand to the Uttar Pradesh ATS, reports official.
Authorities are investigating if he had passed on sensitive information to terror group about the supersonic cruise missile. He is suspected over having links with Pakistani terrorist groups.
Mr. Agarwal will soon be lifted to Lucknow for a further round of interrogation and conduct probe accordingly over the sharing of the sensitive case.
