An activist of MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) has moved a Pune Court seeking filing of a case against Union Minister Smriti Irani, accused of giving ‘false’ information about her educational qualification in the election affidavits.
The MNS activist Rupali Patil-Thombare has filed the private complaint in the Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Court B S Gaikwad, on Tuesday.
When the applicant wants an order to police to investigate the case, a private complaint has been filed.
Ms. Patil claims that a case should be lodged against Ms. Irani for cheating and breaking trust.
In the affidavit along with her nomination paper for Amethi Lok Sabha seat, Ms. Irani didn’t mention that she has completed her graduation, but in 2004, the Union Minister declared that she completed her BA degree from Delhi University in the year 1996, alleged Ms. Patil.
She continued that the court has reserved the order on her request.
