BJP leader Jaya Prada has challenged the election of Samajwadi Party (SP) lawmaker Mohd Azam Khan to the Lok Sabha in Allahabad High Court.

In her petition, Ms. Prada claims that he holds an office of profit as Jauhar University’s Chancellor and cannot assume Lok Sabha membership.

She continued that the election of Mr. Khan from Rampur Lok Sabha seat should be cancelled and Ms. Prada should be declared elected.

Hence, the petition is expected to be taken up for hearing soon.
