The Congress in Uttar Pradesh will bring out a state poll manifesto soon to address issues, which are peculiar to India’s most popular state.

This is being done at the request of Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

It will include issues related to “Shiksha Mitras, renewal of the old pension scheme, ASHA workers, relief to ad-hoc employees, modernization of farmers and madaras, cooks, and police recruitment.

Congress Legislature Party leader Ajay Kumar Lallu had taken a representative of these teams for a meeting with Mrs. Vadra and assured them that the Congress would address their issues.

In-charge of the state manifesto committee, Rashid Albi said that “there are some issues that are specific to Uttar Pradesh and could not have been included in the national manifesto. We are bringing out a supplementary manifesto for this.”
