On Tuesday, Aam Aadmi Party has extended its support to Suresh Bansal, contesting from Ghaziabad as a grand alliance (SP-BSP-RLD) candidate in April-May Lok Sabha Elections.

The AAP President of Uttar Pradesh (west), Somendra Dhaka said that the AAP has commanded a substantial vote bank in Ghaziabad. The party has secured over 1.43 lakh voted from Ghaziabad in 2014 Lok Sabha Polls, when Shazia Ilmi contested on its ticket.

AAP has also fielded candidates in Saharanpur,  Prayagraj, Aligarh, and Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh.

AAP has simultaneously announced its support to RLD leaders Ajit Singh in Muzaffarnagar and Jayant Chaudhary in Baghpat.

The AAP leader continued that “the party has decided to support the potential candidate who is found to be in a condition to defeat BJP candidates.”
