On Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department has predicted that isolated places in Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Karaikal, and Puducherry are expected to receive heavy rainfall.
The Weather Forecast Department has stated that East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh are likely to witness heavy rainfall throughout the day today.
The IMD further stated that “heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Maharashtra, Marathwada, Konkan, Goa, Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana and interior Karnataka.”
Thunderstorm along with lightning may take place at isolated places in Jharkhand, Bihar, and Gangetic West Bengal.
Strong winds with speed reaching 55-65 kmph gusting to 75 kmph are also expected to prevail over the East-Central and NorthEast Arabian Sea.
“Gale winds, speed reaching 75-85 kmph gusting to 95 kmph, very likely to prevail over northwest and adjoining west-central Arabian sea,” added the IMD.
The weather officer has also advised fishermen not to venture into the sea for the next few days.
