Today, a Singapore-bound private flight that took off from Tiruchirapalli has made an emergency landing at Chennai Airport due to a sudden “spark” in the engine, reports an official.

The flight landed safely and no on-board passengers were reported injured in the incident. Therefore, all 170 on-board passengers were safely ejected from the private flight, informed an airlines official.  

While the flight was still in Indian airspace, the pilot has suddenly felt the “spark” and immediately took the decision to land, added the official.

After detecting the dispute, the pilot has immediately contacted to Chennai Airport for permission for an emergency landing. Permission was granted immediately and firefighters were put on standby mode, informed source.

After the emergency landing, on-board passengers were later offered accommodation in city hotels.

Technicians are attending to evaluate the disputes of the private light, said the officials.
