Junior Minister of Maharashtra, as well as Shiv Sena leader Arjun Khotkar, told that he will compete in the Lok Sahs election against Raosaheb Danve, the State President of the opponent BJP, from Jalna seat. The declaration of Mr.Khotkar came even as his party is indicates miscellaneous signals as to whether it would from the alliance with the BJP in the coming polls. Mr.Khotkar told media , “ The BJP government is arrogant, hence I have decided to contest the Lok Sabha election against sitting MP Raosaheb Danve. I have got the nod from Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray”.

The State Minister , Mr.Khotkar who is also serving in the ministry of animal, dairy development, textile, fisheries , represents the Jalna assembly legislative administration at present. He told, “ When BJP’s state-level meeting was being held in Jalna yesterday, police were beating up a farmer’s family in the same district. This shows the party has no sympathy for farmers and their woes”.

In response, being questioned whether he would step back if the BJP and Sena build an alliance, Mr.Khotkar told, “ I am still going to contest election against Danve. I have Uddhav Thackeray’s support”.

Taking continuing shots at the BJP, the Shiv Sena  told it would be the “ big brother” in the alliance , without making it clear whether it will have a fresh tie-up with the BJP.
