On Monday, Sikkim Ktantikari Morcha Chief Prem Singh Tamang will take oath as the newly-elected Chief Minister of Sikkim, reports source. Mr. Tamnag is popularly called as PS Golay.
Mr. Tamnag will administer the oath of office by Sikkim Governor Ganga Prasad at an event in Paljor Stadium at 10 am.
Few other ministers are likely to take oath along with PS Golay, who were elected as SKM legislature party’s leader on last night.
On Saturday, the SKM Chief along with 17 newly-elected MP’s of SKM, had called on Governor of the state and reinforce to form government in the state.
Mr. Prasad allegedly told the SKM delegation to wait till the decision as he has asked for legal option over the issue as Mr. Golay had been accused to a year imprisonment in 2016 Corruption Case, claims source.
After seeking the legal opinion, Sikkim Governor has invited Mr. Golay to form government in Sikkim, added a Raj Bhavan source.
Sikkim Ktantikari Morcha was founded in 2013, achieved a clear majority in 32-seats in Sikkim Legislative Assembly by securing 17-seats against 15 won by SDF.
PS Golay didn’t participated in Assembly Elections to involve his total time to campaign for SKM.
