On Tuesday, a Central Reserve Police Force jawan was detained, accused of sexually harassing a woman in Calangute beach in Goa, reports a police official.

43-years-old Rajvir Prabhudayal, who is a resident of Rajasthan, was held after a woman, who was taking bath at the beach, charges his of using abusing and vulgar language and tried to touch her, informed police official Jivba Dalvi.  

Inspector Dalvi informed that the incident took place at 4 pm yesterday when the victim, her husband, and children were enjoying a bath at Calangute beach.  

He continued that “She said the accused, who was bathing close by, apart from behaving inappropriately with her also assaulted her husband.”

A case against the Parliamentary Constable, under IPC Sections 323 (Voluntarily causing hurt) and 354 (A) (Sexual harassment) has been lodged.

The accused is a CRPF jawan and presently is posted at the force’s Recruit Training Centre in Madhya Pradesh, added Inspector Dalvi.
