Pune Police have lodged a case against a para-sailing operator, after a 15-year-old boy died in an accident in Maharashtra’s Murud Janjira Beach.

The victim named Vedant Pawar is a school student, who has died and his father was badly injured while para-sailing, when the rope holding them to overhead canopy freak and they fell down from 50-feet high.

A case was lodged under IPC Section 304A (causing death by negligence) against the para-sailing operator Sagar Cholkar by the State Police. The accused has already been arrested for further interrogation, reports a local police official.

Pune Police were investigating if Mr. Cholkar had the necessary license to operate para-sailing, claims source.
