A fire broke out at Mumbai’s iconic Crawford Market that houses several shops. As per reports, the fire started at around 6:15 pm which is reportedly confined to four shops in the market.
The wholesale market is located at a walking distance from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station. 10 fire engines rushed to the place to maintain the blaze. The Mumbai fire department said that two fire jets are in operation to manage the Level-2 fire. They got a call at 6:15 pm and the fire fighting officials reached the spot within three minutes.
However, no one has been affected by fire, as per reports. The officials further said that the fire is being ascertained. The rescue operation is going on. Maharashtra is the worst-hit state in the country with the highest number of infections and deaths. The total number of infections in the state now stands at 94,041 and the death toll has crossed 3438 deaths.
