On Monday, the Defence Minister’s Office has released video footage of Rajnath Singh, in which he is spotted singing the anthem of INS Vikramaditya, onboard the aircraft carrier along with crew members of the ship.

The Defence Minister’s Office has posted the 2:19 minutes-long video clip on Twitter.

Mr. Singh was dressed in a dark outfit spotted humming the anthem: “Nau Senake Samman Mein, Uske Garima Aur Shaan Mein”, in a packed full on board the INS Vikramaditya.

Senior Navy Officer told sources that “the anthem is that of INS Vikramaditya. It has been written and composed by the crew of the aircraft carrier.”

According to the Navy Officials, the footage had been captured during Mr. Singh’s stay – “Day On Sea” – on the INS Vikramaditya for a whole day.

On Sunday, Rajnath Singh took part in yoga practices with the crew members of the ship. On Saturday, the Defence Minister had boarded the aircraft carrier from Mumbai, after commissioning the nation’s second Scorpene-Class attack submarine at Mazagon Docks.

The Western Fleet of the Indian Navy has exhibited its prowess and fire-power to Mr. Singh, during his 24-hour stay on the ship.

Mr. Singh tweets, “Spent 24 hours at INS Vikramaditya. This Aircraft Carrier is the ‘Sikandar of Samundar’. Visiting ‘Vikramaditya’ was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. A Day at Sea has given me a new perspective about the capabilities and power of the @indiannavy.”
