Kerala Police teaches road safety by recreating iconic beatles cover - TNBCLive

Over five decades after the Beatles walked into history with their significant Abbey Road cover, Kerala Police Officers have recreated that famous shot, for a good reason. In an ode to the everlasting charm of 1969 album cover that shows the four band members on a zebra crossing, four Policeman from the Kannavam Police Station in Kannur district had imitated the pictures to enhance road safety.

The photos were shared on Twitter by the Kannur Collector Mir Mohammed Ali, who has dubbed them “Kannur’s Beatles” and said that the Policeman had “come together” with local artists to promote date of roads through the initiative.

On Thursday, Mr. Ali wrote that “Initiative was taken by the Station House Officer (SHO) at Kannavam Police Station, collaborating with local artists to promote road safety in a remote part of the district,” while he was sharing the picture.
