Vote counting begins for Mizoram Elections - TNBCLive

Counting of votes in Mizoram Assembly Elections for 40-seats started on Tuesday, amid heavy security, reports a senior Election Commission official.

Under three-tier security, Chief Electoral Officer Ashish Kundra reports that the counting of the vote has commenced in 40 counting halls in 13 centers across the election-bound state.

Mizoram Assembly Elections held on November 28 and the counting of the vote is underway.

Mr. Kundra told the source that “After counting the postal ballots first, counting of votes of EVMs (Electronic Voting Machine) would take place simultaneously for all the assembly constituencies.”
