Today is one of the first phases of election and from the morning all the political parties have started writing on Twitter asking the voters to come to vote and choose their government. The Congress has also tweeted on their official Twitter handle the same request but with a slight directed at the opposition.

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi had tweeted requesting the voters the Congress also tweeted “Today you decide. Love over hate. Jobs over pakoda. Policies over propaganda. One nation over division. Vote for Congress. Vote for you. Today you pledge.”

Attacking on PM Modi, the Congress President Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “No 2 crore jobs. No 15 lakhs in bank account. No acche din. Instead: no jobs. Demonetisation. Farmers in pain. Gabbar Singh Tax. Suit boot sarkar. Rafale. Lies. Lies. Lies. Distrust. Violence. Hate. Fear. You vote today for the soul of India. For her future. Vote wisely.”

Congress has been criticizing the BJP for a long time alleging there is severe unemployment crisis across the country. The Congress has mocked at BJP with “pakoda” jibe as the PM Modi in a television interview stated that a person who earns Rs. 200 a day selling pakoras how can be considered as unemployed.

However, the Prime Minister has tweeted early in the morning encouraging the voters, “2019 Lok Sabha elections commence today. I call upon all those whose constituencies are voting in the first phase today to turn out in record numbers and exercise their franchise. I especially urge young and first-time voters to vote in large numbers.”
