The BJP is confident about their victory in the national election and returning to power to form the government with a huge majority and so it has asked some 20,000 workers to attend the party headquarters in Delhi, this evening. The party leaders said that the huge gathering has been scheduled for a grand welcome for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On May 25, all the winning candidates of the party have been asked to reach Delhi. After the last phase of national election, the exit polls predicted that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will win over 300 seats in the 543 member Lok Sabha.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already claimed that his party will win a historic second term with a full majority after ruling the country for five-years. After exit polls predicted that the opposition Congress may get 122 seats, the party has denied accepting the reports. On Wednesday, Congress President Rahul Gandhi in a message to party workers said, “Do not get demoralized by the fake exit polls doing the rounds,” posting on social media.

Polling took place 542 of the 543 Lok Sabha seats and to form a government, a party or alliance needs at least 272 seats. On Tuesday, the NDA held a meeting, where PM Modi was garlanded with flowers by members of the alliance.

The NDA assured that in the next five years, they will make double the income of the farmers and will boost infrastructure. According to a Reuters poll,  stocks posted their biggest gain since September 2013 after the exit polls and could rally further on Thursday if the trend is confirmed.
