Ahead of the April-May Lok Sabha Elections, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said that his father Lalu Yadav has mentioned in his upcoming autobiography “From Gopalganj to Raisina” that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took many attempts to rejoin the mahagathbandhan or grand alliance within 6 months of reuniting with NDA in 2017.

Mr. Yadav told sources that “My father in his upcoming book ‘From Gopalganj to Raisina’ has mentioned that Nitish Kumar made many attempts to get back and ally with us.”

He further emphasized that he has proof that CM Kumar has tried his best to contact him, Lalu Yadav and even Congress to form the grand alliance. “We will not ally with Nitish Kumar ever,” added Mr. Yadav.

On the enquiry of his meeting with JDU Vice President Prashant Kishor, who is the man behind bringing JD(U) and RJD under the banner of Grand Alliance in 2015, Tejashwi Yadav claims, “He has not invited him, instead, he came on his own.”

“Everyone knows Prashant Kishor does not meet anyone without reason,” said the RJD Leader.

Former JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav is contesting in Lok Sabha Elections on RJD tickets from Madhepura also confirmed that the Bihar Chief Minister had tried hard to join the grand alliance.

“’It is true what Lalu Yadav has written in his book about Nitish Kumar making several attempts to join the grand alliance,” added Sharad Yadav.
