Opposition Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav has recently resigned from the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia), exclaims his willingness to join hand with Congress with the target to defeat centre-ruling BJP in the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.
To a question on the coalition possibility for the next year’s elections, Mr. Yadav said that “We have our party’s organization in 75 districts of the state…the party has decided to contest all the seats against the BJP… to defeat the BJP, we can also enter into an alliance with the Congress.”
Mr. Yadav, to take part in an event, was in Bareilly on Tuesday night.
Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav’s estranged uncle Shivpal Yadav has stressed that all those, who are talking about forming a morcha (rally) to defeat BJP should also talk to his party, which is deliberate on the issue.
Over the Lord Hanuman controversy, the opposition leader said that “He is a God and those who are out to confine him to a particular caste have a very narrow mindset.”
He continued that the Ram Temple construction issue in Ayodhya should not come upon the land, which was under dispute.
Mr. Yadav said, “Lot of lands is lying around River Saryu…if the temple is built there, I am also ready to contribute to it.” While he further asserted that the verdict of Supreme Court over the matter should not be disobeyed.
On January 4, the Supreme Court has scheduled to take up a batch of petitions for hearing in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title dispute case.
